Sad End for a Deer, Meal for the Eagle
On the drive up through Dutch Valley the other morning I spotted this huge "Baldy", who it appeared was claiming the poor dead deer that was hit on the road nearby. The eagle was being harassed by large black birds but the eagle was standing her ground. I think this is the biggest eagle I have ever seen, The deer was fully grown, so I'm sure the eagle was two feet tall.
